How do I start planning a trip?

How far in advance should I plan?
For most trips, 2-4 months ahead works well. This gives time to find good accommodations and arrange activities. For travel during peak seasons (like Lapland in winter or Swiss Alps in summer), 4-6 months is better.
Do you work with families and children?
Yes! Many of my clients travel with children. I can help plan itineraries that work for different ages, suggest family-friendly activities, and recommend accommodations that are comfortable for families.

What exactly do you help with?
I create detailed, personalized itineraries with accommodation suggestions, activity ideas, practical logistics, and insider recommendations. I handle research and coordination so you have a clear plan that fits your interests and budget.
Can I make changes after we've planned things?
Absolutely. Plans evolve, and that's completely normal. I'm happy to adjust the itinerary as needed, though some changes might affect availability or pricing.
How much does your service cost?
Service fees depend on the complexity of the trip, typically starting around €300-400 for straightforward itineraries. This is separate from actual travel costs (flights, hotels, activities). I'll explain costs clearly before we begin.
Visa Assistance
What visa help do you offer?
I help you understand visa requirements for Finland and Switzerland, guide you through the application process, review your documents, and answer questions. I don't submit applications for you, but I can help you prepare a complete, well-organized application.
How long does visa processing take?
For Schengen visas (which cover both Finland and Switzerland), processing typically takes 5-15 business days. I recommend starting the visa process 4-8 weeks before your trip.
Can you guarantee visa approval?
No—visa decisions are made entirely by embassies and consulates. What I can do is help you submit the best possible application and avoid common mistakes that lead to delays or denials.
During Your Journey
Will I have support while traveling?
Yes. I'm available by email during your trip if questions come up or you need help with anything. I'll do my best to respond promptly, though I may not be instantly available at all times.
What if something goes wrong?
I'll help however I can—whether that's suggesting alternatives if plans change, helping contact accommodations, or providing advice on next steps. For emergencies, you'll have travel insurance and local emergency contacts.
Can I change my itinerary during the trip?
You can always adjust your plans while traveling. If you need help making changes (rebooking, finding new activities), reach out and I'll assist where possible.
